Reverend Donald C. Luster currently serves as the pastor of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church is the Park City of Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Reverend Luster was educated in the Boston, Massachusetts school system and graduated from Boston Technical High School. He had a keen interest in mathematics and matriculated at Morgan State College (now Morgan State University) in Baltimore, Maryland where he received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. After graduation, he spent 2 ½ years in the U. S. Air Force and received a general discharge under honorable conditions. A Masters in Divinity was earned from Paine Theological Seminary in Ohio. While at Paine he met his helpmate and future wife, Dr. Gwen Tolliver Luster. They were united in marriage in 1968.

His first pastoral charge was at First A.M.E. Church in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania from 1968–1970. Upon leaving the Philadelphia Conference, he was assigned to the New England Conference and served as follows: Bethel, Greenwich, CT (1970-1074); Charles Street, Boston, MA (1974-1981); and Bethel, Stamford, CT (1981-1991).

Reverend Luster spent the next 15 years in the New Jersey Conference at Mt. Teman, Elizabeth (1991-1995); and St. Paul, East Orange (1995-2005). In 2005, he was reassigned to the New England Conference, and assigned to Bethel, Bridgeport, CT.

Reverend Luster's favorite scriptures are Acts 17:28 and John 10:7-18.
